An orchestra was playing a concert C scale. (That means that each instrument was in tune with each other, no matter what octave.) Someone in the back right section, by the violas, trombones, basses, guitars, and cellos. One person was playing out of tune. The conductor went to see who it was. He asked the basses, and the said that they were playing an A scale with no sharps or flats. He asked the trombones and cellos and they said the same. He asked the guitar and he said that he was playing a C scale in chords. The violas said that the were playing a B scale with no sharps or flats. Who was out of tune?
